We invite you to take part in a study designed to study the practices and beliefs of parents and early childhood educators about napping in children.
- If you are a parent, you must be a resident of Quebec, have an adequate understanding of written English or French and have a child aged 1 to 6 minus one day who is not yet attending school to participate in this study.
- If you are an early childhood educator, you must be employed in an educational childcare centre in Quebec and have an adequate understanding of written French or English to participate in this study.
We are asking you to complete a short, anonymous survey lasting approximately 20 minutes. Please read each question carefully and answer each question to the best of your ability. You are free to end the survey at any time without prejudice. In this case, only the questions you have already answered will be recorded.
When you submit your answers at the end of the survey, you can leave your contact details on another Web page for a chance to win a prepaid credit card worth $35. One card is drawn for every 25 people who complete the survey.
There is no risk in taking part in the survey. The questionnaire is anonymous, so it is not possible to trace your identity. The results will be used for scientific purposes in doctoral theses or essays, scientific articles, conference papers and other future projects. Data will be stored on password-protected computers for 25 years, after which they will be permanently destroyed.
If you have any questions or concerns about this project, contact the research team at petr08@uqo.ca (Rachel Pétrin).
If you have questions or concerns about ethical issues, contact the Université du Québec en Outaouais ethics committee president, André Durivage, at 819-595-3900 ext. 1781.
